Lessons and Carols at Simpson College 2022

By Smith Chapel (other events)

2 Dates Through Dec 11, 2022

ABOUT ABOUT

One of the most beloved traditions of Advent and Christmas from England is a form of worship known as the Festival of Lessons & Carols. This service was adapted for use in King's College Chapel, Cambridge, in 1918 for schools and colleges where it was not possible to celebrate Christmas during term-time.  The service, in word and music, proclaims the story of humankind's need for atonement and salvation climaxing in the event of the Incarnation.

Our annual Lessons and Carols program is organized by the Music Department and Chaplain's office at Simpson College.  Please join us for a delightful way to get in to the holiday spirit!

Please note that these tickets serve as your reservation for the date of service.  Doors open 45 minutes prior to the start of the program; seats are first-come, first served. You do not need to show your tickets at the door.

This event is offered to the community free of charge.  We do welcome donations to help support the program; you may make your tax-deductible donation here (https://store.simpson.edu/Lessons-and-Carols-Gift_p_82.html)
